Music that moves us.

About Us

22Musical Stew Daily is written by Matt and Kelly Andrews, a married couple in Atlanta, Ga. who share an extraordinary passion for music. Music has been an important part of their life together from the very beginning. Literally. The very first conversation that they had was about Bonnaroo (very appropriate considering Matt always wanted to find a girl who loved roughing it at music festivals and Kelly always wanted to find a guy who’d still love her after she hadn’t showered for a few days at such festivals).

After a courtship that included numerous live shows, they got married in October 2007 (and spent their honeymoon at Vegoose in Las Vegas) and have created a happy little home together that reflects their love of music – as you can’t overlook the four guitars in the living room, collectible concert posters that adorn the walls throughout the house, and the stereo equipment and CDs that cost more than both of their cars put together.

Because just about every dinner conversation in their house revolves around challenging each other at music trivia, analyzing the latest rocker’s autobiography or critiquing a new album, they decided to put their knowledge to good use and share this info. with other like-minded music nerds. And that’s how Musical Stew Daily was born.

In her spare time, Kelly works at the world’s largest independent public relations firm, which is an adaptation of her dream job (as she always wanted to lead public relations for a record company…but realized that the only money in that job would be promoting teeny-bopper acts, such as Britney Spears, and the thought of that made her want to hang herself by her guitar strings). Matt works for a large graphics company and spends a considerable amount of spare time surfing the internet for hard-to-find music nuggets to post on this blog and add to his encyclopedic-like wealth of music knowledge. Some day they’ll find a job that allows them to fulfill their dream of traveling the U.S. in an RV – along with their two amazing golden retrievers, Sam and Murphy – hitting all of the big music festivals and every local live music venue in between.

If you should ever need us to take down any downloads and whatnot, please let us know. We will be more than happy to comply.

  4. Congrats to you guys. My boyfriend and I have a similar story, so that made me smile. Our relationship has always revolved around music, and in 2001 he gave me a website, livemusicbeth.com (based on my nickname, and kind of as a joke), which we started doing interviews/reviews for. That grew into State of Mind in 2004.

It’s good to combine love and music!

  7. You have a great site. We seem to have very similar musical tastes. I’m constantly surprised at the things you find. I’m listening to the David and the Dorks recording – great stuff! I will be making some references from my site (which is also about my experience as a fledgling musician). Thanks for your hard work.

  10. Hey Kelly and Matt,
Carol Milliron turned me on to your site…good stuff! I am a music lover as well, and do mostly concert reviews. I wanted to ask you guys how you liked WordPress. I use Blogger, but wonder if it’s the best thing. I’m on Facebook, so maybe I’ll see you there.
