Love when Jerry gets gospel on us. After seeing it a couple times at the arthouse in 2004, I eventually wore this DVD out. Delaney (& Bonnie) Bramlett were also on this junkett and there is a nice piece of footage of Delaney giving GDTRFB this same treatment. Is it just me (I didn’t reference my deadbase yet), or does it seem like you didn’t see much of GDTRFB until after 1970 (the year of Festivus Express)? Makes ya wonder. Influences abound.

I couldn’t agree more, Ben. Jerry always sang spirituals with so much soul. It’s interesting seeing Jerry hanging with Delaney Bramlett in the audience in Festival Express. There’s a post somewhere within the site discussing this, actually Jerry at one point plays the guitar that George Harrison gave Delaney, which was used in The Beatles rooftop concert.
