Oh Yeah, I was there at the Byron Race Track, July 1970. I had been out of the Marine Corps for 10 months, and at the time, was working as a key punch operator at the Regency Hyatt House in Atlanta. My girlfriend who was a hostess at the Hyatt, packed up my 1967 Chevy Impala and headed south on Thursday and spent the week-end in the pecan orchard. On our return, we had to take 4 or 5 showers each to get the red clay dust off of us and out of our clothes. What a trip. It is still a very vivid and remember able time in my life.

I’d love to hear more about your memories of that weekend, Larry. I’ve recently met a few others that attended the APF ’69 and ’70. Please contact us if you’d like to share.

Hi Kelly and Matt,
I am a South Asian Indie artist launching my music career. I was recently part of a psychedelic fusion rock band called Iritis (www.myspace.com/iritis) and am now launching my own career (www.reverbnation.com/nitachawla).
If you like the music, let me know if there’s a way you help new artists promote themselves! (one-liner in a blog, etc)
thanks so much,
Nita
