Happy Birthday — Desmond Dekker
One of ska music’s pioneers, Desmond Dekker was born on this date in 1941. Desmond achieved early career success in the 60′s with “Israelites”, “Shanty-Town” and “It Mek”. He was preparing a comeback when he died of a heart attack in 2006. More on Desmond.
