Ballin’ Jack — “Never Gonna Let ‘em Say”

ballin_jack-fresnoPerhaps most famous these days for the Beastie Boys sampling of this song in “Shadrach” on Paul’s Boutique and another of their’s on Young M.C.’s “Bust A Move.” I found the original on YouTube and found it to be a bad ass track. The band was assembled in 1969, released one album in ’70 and split.

HAMPTON, Va. — Onstage at the Hampton Coliseum, Phish was rehearsing for its resurrection: its first shows since it announced it was breaking up forever. That was in 2004, when the jam band played one last summer tour that ended with a marathon weekend festival for 65,000 people on a farm in Coventry, Vt.
