36 Years Ago Today…
Eric Clapton’s “Rainbow Concert” took place at the Rainbow Theatre in London. The event was organized by Pete Townshend in an attempt to get Clapton out of his self imposed isolation and two year heroin jag. The concert was a virtual who’s who amongst English rockers of the day, as it featured: Pete Townshend, Steve Winwood, Ron Wood, Jim Capaldi, Rick Grech, etc.
