Grateful Dead — “Not Fade Away”

notfadeaway_brunswick_sample_9-55035 Here we find Jerry and the boys performing the Buddy Holly classic track on the 4th of July, 1989. Jerry and Brent really hook up on this version, obviously enjoying themselves. “Not Fade Away” was the last track Buddy Holly and The Crickets performed at The Winter Dance Party on February 2, 1959, just hours before the fatal plane crash that took the lives of Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper and the pilot, Roger Peterson.
