36 Years Ago Today…
Brothers in arms and rock, Tom and John Fogerty called for the proverbial curtain on Creedence Clearwater Revival. John didn’t want to share the songwriting credit with brother Tom, Stu Cook and Doug Clifford. John broke off to forge a successful solo career. Sadly, the two brothers never made up and Tom passed away in 1990 without any sort reconcilliation. Here they are performing “Born On The Bayou”:
Happy Birthday — Bob Weir
We at Musical Stew Daily would like to wish rhythm guitar extraordinaire, Bob Weir a very happy 61st birthday. Bob and Phil Lesh have apparently settled their differences and let bygones be bygones. They will share the same bill with Jackie Greene on New Years Eve in San Fran this year at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
