37 Years Ago Today…

Rick(y) Nelson played the seventh annual Rock -N- Roll Revival Show at Madison Square Garden. The crowd booed him as he went into his country western repertoire, as they only wanted to hear his oldies from the 50′s. It turned out okay for Rick, as he wrote a song about the ocassion, titled it “Garden Party” and recorded it. The song went to #6 in 1972 and was his first hit in several years.
